Job Summary
The primary function of this role is to provide first-class service to clients and their pets by showing up at the assigned time(s) and following the pet care plan by providing bathroom breaks, food/water/ exercise, assistance to appointments, waste pickup, etc.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Perform visits to multiple homes to care for pets
  • Provide the following services:
    • Bathroom Breaks - to include letting a pet into the backyard or going for a walk around the community
    • Food and Water – refill food and water dishes as needed
    • Exercise – provide a structured exercising environment for a pet either in the yard or on a leash
    •  Assistance to Appointments – provide safe and reliable transportation to veterinary and/or grooming appointments
    • Waste Pickup – pick up after the pet and dispose of as assigned
  • Provide daily updates for client and K9 Convenience staff as needed

Minimum Requirements

  • Must love pets
  • Must possess exemplary track record with previous employers
  • Must provide 3 personal and 3 professional references
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must have valid driver’s license
  • Must provide proof of auto insurance coverage
  • Must be able to pass criminal background check
  • Must proficiently speak, read, and write in English
  • Must be able to care for pets of all sizes and strengths
  • Must be able to communicate effectively

Abilities Required
Must be able to physically handle pets of all sizes and strengths
Must be able to provide long durations of exercise to pets as needed
