Best Dog For Your Personality

Just the same way as people, dogs have different personality types themselves – and it can have a lot to do with the type or breed of dog. Different types of breeds have entirely different habits, and your own personality type has a lot to do with which dog breed would suit you best.  So which is the best dog for your personality?

What is the best type of dog for your personality?

Are you sporty and active? Do you spend most of your time at home as a freelancer? Do you prefer to have a relaxed and quiet night in or take a walk around the block when the sun sets? Here’s how to find the best type of dog breed to match your personality.

#1: Dogs for High Energy

The Great Dane, Greyhound and Jack Russell breeds are great if you have access to a lot of space – and you need a lot of physical activity. These are dogs that require more room to run around in, and though they vary greatly in terms of size, all of them can be called very active and almost always playful.

#2: Dogs for Relaxation

If you spend a lot of your time at home and you’re looking for a relaxed type of dog breed to go along with it, the Pomeranian, Chihuahua, Corgi and French Bulldog breeds could be amongst your best possible choices. Of course, these dog breeds also need access to a lot of physical activity and mental stimulation, but they are known for sticking very close to their owners (and they can make great foot warmers for colder days!).

#3: Dogs for Special Needs

Many people out there have special needs including health conditions like epilepsy, and finding the right dog breed can help you take care of your health. Dog breeds like Labradors, German Shepherds, Golden Retrievers and Poodles have shown considerable promise in being able to identify the onset of a seizure (and subsequently warn their owners or the people around them).

Labradors are usually known as the best type of dog breeds for the blind, but there are many other health conditions (and dog breeds) suited to many other kinds of conditions, too.

#4: Dogs for Smarts

Border Collies, Poodles, German Shepherds and Golden Retrievers are some of the most intelligent types of dog breeds out there: This is no reflection on the intelligence of any other dog breeds out there, of course, but means that these types of dog breeds will take to learning new things easier, and might have a larger scope of language they are able to understand.
